Biography
I am extremely passionate about serving others, especially the youth. I’ve worked tirelessly for my community and have enjoyed every moment of it. Let me work for you! I’ve worked to repair the devastation from Hurricane Harvey in 2017. I was also featured on CNN representing the community during the Texas Winter Storm of February 2021.

As a current college professor and graduate of the University of Houston and Texas Southern University, I have prided myself on being an enthusiastic, transparent, and reliable volunteer, community organizer and activist. I have served as a volunteer deputy voter registrar, and I am a faithful member of The Church at Bethel's Family. I am also a member of the following organizations: Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated, Order of Eastern Star - Divine Unity #67, BraesOak Democratic Club & Southwest Democratic Club, and Color of Change among others.

Gun Laws
We need stronger gun safety laws. At age 18; that is too young to purchase high-powered guns. At that age, a young adult cannot even purchase cigarettes or alcohol, so why should they be able to purchase a deadly weapon? I fully believe in the second amendment but a high-powered rifle is not needed by us, citizens. We can own guns to protect our home and families but not a high-powered rifle of that caliber.
Abortion and Women's Rights
A woman should have the right to choose what to do with her body. I do believe if the FATHER wants to keep the child; his rights should be considered. Jeopardizing the health of women should never be an option. I feel women will now return to dangerous ways of aborting children and that would jeopardize their health. Eliminating Roe vs. Wade increased dangerous practices to abort!
Education
We need to continue to provide training for our youth. As an educator, individuals need to learn how to be successful. The economy will bounce back as more job opportunities are created and individuals return to work. As individuals work, so does our economy! Nothing is obtained just by giving it to you; we must work for what we want. We need to have skills to be productive today. This is definitely obtainable with all the programs offered such as STEM. Our youth is truly our future. Looking forward is what I want others to do. As Pastor August would say, "The rear-view mirror is small for a reason. The windshield is large for a reason." Look ahead!
